Meet Our Staff

Director, Ryan Steinmetz

Ryan Steinmetz took over as Border Servant Corps Director in March of 2008 after having worked as a BSC volunteer in 2001-2002 and served as a board member from 2004-2008. Ryan is originally from "Buckeye Country," otherwise known as Ohio, and came down to the border upon graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University. He became interested in border issues through studying Spanish and attending university-sponsored educational trips to the border. He has worked as a domestic violence children's counselor and domestic violence prevention educator through La Casa, Inc. and recently graduated from New Mexico State University with a masters in counseling and guidance.
